Fans have been following NBC Fashion Star mentor, Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy for months and now the new mama has decided on a name for her little girl. Simpson has decided to name her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson. The name has ties to both her side of the family and the baby’s father–Eric Johnson’s side. Many outlets have reported that the name Maxwell is Johnson’s middle name and his grandmother’s surname while Drew is Simpson’s mother–Tina Simpson’s maiden name.

Life & Style was the first to report that the parents plan on calling their baby “Maxi” for short. Now, the web is abuzz with thousands of comments about the baby’s name.
